A lot of metal fans (including myself) can’t stand the tough guy attitude that they projected from Cowboys onwards. Cowboys at least has decent riffs though. Everything after it, no thanks. I’ll stick to Projects in the Jungle and Power Metal.

Overkill absolutely nailed the ’90s groove era. I think the stigma of ’90s groove metal prevents people from enjoying what are some insanely fun albums.

I Hear Black and W.F.O. each have a few good tracks that redeem them. The Killing Kind and From the Underground and Below are two of my favorite Overkill albums though. To me, that’s groove metal done right and both records are a ton of fun.
