With the sheer amount of metal bands out there, it is easy to get swept away by the flood of releases every month and miss some of the true gemstones. The Metal Observer will help you dig up these gemstones with less than 100 likes on Facebook in “Metal Archeology”. And our fourth installment is coming from Philadelphia in the shape of trio Morgul Blade.
Right now we have the probably lowest like count of any Metal Archeology bands so far, as Morgul Blade’s Facebook page has a miniscule 17 likes so far, highlighting how difficult it can be for young bands. So far the trio has one single to its name, with the compact title “Harbingers of Power and the World’s End” and while it is still a little raw, it shows plenty of promise. .
Steeped deeply in the epic heavy metal of old, only the use of raspy black metal inspired vocals to go hand in hand with the heroic clear ones is a slight step away from pure tradition, but one can feel the conviction they are doing this with, which should lure in a lot of traditionalists!
Take a listen and support the band by buying their album below, give their Facebook page another like and be able to say with conviction that you knew about this band before everybody else!
