]]>Out of those bands you've listed, the only one I would've seriously considered including was Concerto Moon, and the only reason I didn't was because I figured I'd cover them in part 2 (I might end up doing this eventually, who knows?). With only 5 male-fronted bands to include, there's no way I wasn't going to include X Japan, Versailles, Galneryus, and Sex Machineguns.

Anthem and Loudness (though might be more Trad, but were right there along side X-Japan… only they never quit), Ark Storm (Katsu Ohta is probably the best shredder this side of Malmsteen), Concerto Moon, Fumihiko Kitsutaka, and Zigoku Quartet in particular.
